Where to advertise your job role is one of the most important things you can consider when formulating your recruitment strategy. What job board to use will obviously depend on the role itself. Should you use a generalist job board with millions of active users or an industry-specific board with less monthly users but highly qualified talent? You could, of course, use a mixture of the two but you will soon find that using more than one job board can be very costly. Luckily That Recruit can take the headache out of advertising your role. Now a candidate has seen your role and wants to apply, great, but this process should be as quick and painless as possible. For the majority of the job boards we use, if a candidate already has an account, all the job seeker needs to do is press the ‘Apply’ button and the candidates contact details and CV are automatically sent over to our ATS in real time ready for clients to view in their dashboard. If a candidate does not have an account or an account is not possible (e.g. social media) then the candidate is directed to one of That Recruit’s apply pages that as well as offering one-click applying from top names such as Indeed and Monster, offers the candidate the option to apply easily by providing only their name, email address and uploading their CV.
Great candidates don’t wait around. As well as applying for your role they could also be applying for ten others. It is absolutely vital that you contact them as soon as possible. You don’t want a competitor to make an offer to your candidate before you have even reviewed their CV. At That Recruit, we always advise our clients to shortlist candidates at least once a day. You also shouldn’t wait until you have a full list of shortlisted talent before making initial contact. If you see a candidates CV that you like, ring them there and then. If they don’t answer drop them an email and follow it up with another call an hour or two later.
