I would compare the experience of walking into an unfamiliar sales office to when the Vikings crossed the North Sea in 793 to raid the riches of Northumbria, Wessex and Mercia, which would soon become known as England.
They were accustomed to their Pagan rituals, blood sacrifices and the human gods of Odin, Thor and Loki only to be confronted by superior farming techniques, unprotected gold on display and Christians worshipping one almighty God.
So why would I make that comparison? It’s not only because I have been binge watching Vikings on Amazon Prime for the last 3 weeks on my journey into work.
If you follow us on Instagram or Twitter, you will know that this past week has been a successful one for the burgeoning That Recruit Sales Team. With that, our own rituals, not Pagan, have developed, which would seem alien and downright daft to someone on the outside. Some sales offices may have a bell to ring to celebrate a sale, others may have a polite round of applause and some may even just ignore the fact completely.
In Mayfair, however, we like to celebrate a sale with the old skool, hip-hop stylings of KRS-One’s Sound of Da Police. We wave our hands in the air like we just do not care and proceed to drop it like it’s hot.

In setting up the initial advert it was very easy and quick, and the staff at ThatRecruit were very helpful and efficient in coming back to me and in authorizing the advert. The software to manage the vacancy was easy to use and the ability to mark candidates with a status was helpful. As an improvement it would be useful to be able to select all those marked as rejected and be able to bulk message them with a decline message or have an option to allow the candidates to see their status. Overall it’s been easy to manage this recruitment placement through ThatRecruit and we had an exceptional response to the advertisement with 72 applicants and having to close the advert early.
The process was easy to manage and we received a high number of responses.
